Amit Shah to Chair UP BJP Working Committee Meeting in Lucknow on October 30-31 for Mission 2027 Roadmap
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will chair the Uttar Pradesh BJP’s state working committee meeting in Lucknow on October 30 and 31, as the party steps up preparations for the 2027 assembly elections. Shah is scheduled to visit Lucknow for the two-day meeting, which will be attended by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, BJP national president Nitin Nabin, state president Pankaj Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, and other senior leaders.
The meeting is the first gathering of the party’s newly constituted state working committee. The committee list, released by Chaudhary, includes 548 working committee members, 30 permanent invitees and 134 special invitees — around 712 leaders in all. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is among the permanent invitees, along with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Yogi Adityanath and other senior leaders.
Discussions at the meeting are expected to focus on strengthening the organisation at booth level, reviewing preparations across all six organisational regions, and finalising the roadmap for the assembly elections. The party plans to gather ground-level feedback through organisational expansion coordinators deployed across assembly constituencies, who will communicate local feedback directly to the leadership. Special attention is also expected to be given to mobilising party workers, highlighting government schemes, and building momentum through visits by senior leaders in the months ahead.
According to reports, the party is aiming to secure a third consecutive term in Uttar Pradesh in 2027. Chaudhary has said that when Shah addresses the workers, the election campaign will effectively begin, with workers then taking the agreed roadmap forward with full force. The Lucknow meeting is therefore being seen as the formal launchpad for the BJP’s Mission 2027 organisation drive in India’s most populous state.
