Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences (UHSR), Rohtak has released the Round 2 merit lists for admission to ANM, GNM and MPHW (Male) diploma courses in Haryana for the 2026-27 session. The course-wise merit lists came out on 5 November 2026 at 11 AM on the official counselling portal, nursing.online-counselling.co.in. The online seat allotment for Round 2 will take place on 6 November 2026 at 11 AM. Candidates who get a seat must complete document verification, fee payment and online admission between 6 November 11 AM and 7 November 5 PM. The schedule was issued through public notice UHSR/Acad./A-I/2026/SPL1 dated 31 October 2026, and the counselling is conducted by UHSR Rohtak under the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Haryana.
Round 2 is the decisive round for candidates who did not get a seat in Round 1 and for those who registered afresh. In Round 1, the notification came on 26 October 2026, registration ran from 26 to 28 October, the merit list was released on 29 October, choice filling ran from 27 to 29 October, allotment took place on 30 October, and document verification and fee payment were completed on 30 and 31 October. For Round 2, fresh registration was open from 1 to 4 November, and choice filling and preference locking ran from 1 to 5 November till 11:59 PM. Admission is based purely on Class 12 marks тАФ there is no entrance examination. Candidates must be between 17 and 35 years of age as on 31 December 2026, and reservation and age relaxation apply as per the State Reservation Policy.
The three courses serve different roles in Haryana’s health system. ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery) is a two-year diploma open only to women candidates, and ANMs work at village sub-centres, primary health centres and community health centres on immunisation, mother-and-child care and basic health services. GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) is a three-year diploma open to both women and men, and GNM nurses work as staff nurses in government and private hospitals, with the option of B.Sc (Post Basic) Nursing later. MPHW (M) (Multipurpose Health Worker, Male) is a two-year diploma only for men, and MPHWs work at sub-centre and primary health centre level on surveys, immunisation drives, malaria and dengue control and family health programmes. All three courses require a Class 12 pass, and admission is valid only in institutes recognised by the Indian Nursing Council, the state government or the Haryana Nurses and Nurse-Midwives Council.
Candidates should check the exact fee in their allotment letter, because that is the final figure. The application fee published on the counselling portal is Rs 1,000 for General category and Rs 750 for EWS, SC, BC, PH, ESM and FF candidates. The course fee in government institutes is Rs 15,000, while in private institutes it is Rs 1,37,800 for ANM, Rs 1,98,200 for GNM and Rs 94,000 for MPHW (M). After allotment, the course fee is paid directly to the allotted institute by Demand Draft, RTGS or NEFT, and the admission or registration fee is paid only by Net Banking or UPI and is non-refundable. For document verification, carry originals plus photocopies of Class 10 and 12 mark sheets and certificates, Haryana domicile certificate, category certificate where applicable, Aadhaar card, passport-size photographs, the allotment letter downloaded from the portal, and the fee payment receipt. The official notice is clear that admission given by any private institute on its own is null and void тАФ only a seat allotted through the counselling portal is valid.
