Chhattisgarh Bastar Fighter Recruitment 2026: 792 Constable Posts in Sukma and Bijapur Apply by December 12
Chhattisgarh Police has opened 792 Bastar Fighter Constable posts in two district-level recruitments, with 375 posts in Sukma district and 417 posts in Bijapur district. Both drives are for the Chhattisgarh Police Special Executive Force, known as Bastar Fighter, and both accept offline applications only, from 2 November 2026 until 12 December 2026 at 5 pm. Only permanent local residents of the district concerned can apply for that district’s posts, so a Sukma resident cannot apply for the Bijapur posts and a Bijapur resident cannot apply for the Sukma posts. Candidates must use the form of their own district and check the official notification on cgpolice.gov.in or the district police website before applying.
In Sukma, the Office of the Superintendent of Police has notified 375 Fighter Constable posts under reference number 1201/2026, following a press note issued on 30 October 2026. Of these, 315 posts are reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidates, while 26 are unreserved, 26 are for Other Backward Classes and 8 are for Scheduled Castes. Paper applications can be handed in at the Superintendent of Police Office in Sukma or at a Sub-Divisional Officer (Police) office in Sukma, Dornapal, Konta, Jagargunda or Maraiguda, or sent by registered post to the Superintendent of Police Office, Composite Building, Kumharras, Sukma, PIN 494111. Selection in Sukma runs through physical standards, a physical efficiency test and a written examination, and the detailed eligibility and physical rules are displayed on police notice boards in the district. Because the Sukma summaries do not publish a separate age or pay table, applicants should verify those conditions in the official Sukma press note itself rather than relying on a portal summary.
In Bijapur, the Office of the Superintendent of Police has notified 417 Bastar Fighter Constable posts, following a notice dated 31 October 2026. The category split is 290 posts for Scheduled Tribes, 68 for Other Backward Classes, 40 for Scheduled Castes and 19 unreserved. Applicants must be local residents of Bijapur district and must be between 18 and 28 years old on 1 January 2026, with age relaxation of up to 5 years for SC, ST and OBC candidates and up to 10 years for local women of Bijapur district under the applicable rules. The educational requirement is a Class 10 pass from a school in Chhattisgarh or Madhya Pradesh, while Scheduled Tribe candidates and candidates from Naxal-affected families or families living in relief camps in Naxal-affected areas are eligible with a Class 5 pass. The post carries Pay Matrix Level-4 plus allowances as approved by the government, and horizontal reservations apply for ex-servicemen, local women, Home Guards, Assistant Constables and former Agniveers under state rules.
Selection in Bijapur begins with document verification and physical measurement. The height requirement is 163 cm for men and 153 cm for women in the unreserved, SC and OBC categories, and 150 cm for men and 148 cm for women among Scheduled Tribe candidates, with chest standards of 79 cm unexpanded and 84 cm expanded for men generally, and 74 cm and 79 cm for Scheduled Tribe men, with at least 5 cm expansion required and women exempt from the chest standard. The physical efficiency test carries 100 marks across long jump, high jump, shot put, the 100-metre race and the 800-metre race, with 20 marks each, and candidates must score 60 per cent if unreserved and 50 per cent if SC, ST or OBC. This is followed by a 50-mark written examination covering general knowledge, intelligence, analytical ability, local geography, culture, tradition, social values and arithmetic, and a 20-mark interview, with up to 30 bonus marks for a heavy motor vehicle licence, an NCC or NSS C certificate, and knowledge of the district’s local dialect, which alone carries 20 marks.
Candidates should treat the two districts as entirely separate applications, even though the dates are the same. For Bijapur, forms can be submitted by hand at a Sub-Divisional Officer (Police) office in Bhairamgarh, Kutru, Farsegarh, Bhopalpatnam or Awapalli, or sent by registered post only to the Office of the Superintendent of Police, District Bijapur, PIN 494444, so that the form reaches the office by 5 pm on 12 December 2026; forms received late will not be accepted, and postal applicants must bring their postal receipt to the recruitment date. The form must be filled in the applicant’s own clear handwriting, with a recent passport-size photograph not older than three months and self-attested copies of age proof, qualification certificates, local residence certificate, caste certificate where applicable, and any certificate claimed for reservation or bonus marks. No application fee is specified in the Bijapur notice. Applicants in both districts should read the full official advertisement for their district before submitting a form, since filling in a form does not by itself confirm eligibility and the selection committee’s decision on eligibility is final.
