PM Modi Gujarat Visit: Rs 14000 Crore Projects and PM-KISAN 24th Instalment of Over Rs 18680 Crore for 9.34 Crore Farmers on October 30
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a two-day visit to Gujarat on 30 and 31 October, during which he will launch development projects worth over Rs 14,000 crore and release the 24th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) to farmers across the country.
The centrepiece for farmers is the PM-KISAN release at Bhildi in Banaskantha district on 30 October, at the national-level PM Kisan Utsav Divas. More than 9.34 crore farmer families across India will receive over Rs 18,680 crore directly into their bank accounts in this instalment. In Gujarat alone, more than 52.33 lakh farmer families will receive assistance exceeding Rs 1,000 crore.
The Banaskantha event will be held as a ‘Khatla Sabha’, with farmers seated on traditional cots instead of chairs — a first-of-its-kind format for such a national farmers’ programme. Through the first 23 instalments, more than Rs 4.47 lakh crore has already been disbursed to eligible farmers under PM-KISAN, which provides income support through direct benefit transfer.
In Banaskantha, the Prime Minister will dedicate the Bharat Bovine Breeding and Research Centre, spread over 127 acres and the first facility of its kind for the Kankrej cattle breed, aimed at faster breed improvement through advanced reproductive technologies. He will also lay foundation stones for two Bio-CNG plants by Banas Dairy at Tharad and Radhanpur, which will use cattle dung for sustainable energy.
Connectivity and urban infrastructure also feature in the visit. The Prime Minister will lay the foundation for Ahmedabad Metro Phase-2A, the airport extension, and Phase-2B, the GIFT City extension, along with the Rs 2,600 crore upgradation of the Ahmedabad-Mehsana road. Two new train services will also be flagged off: a daily Sabarmati-Varanasi Express and a Mehsana-Becharaji-Sabarmati MEMU service.
For rural infrastructure, 521 agricultural infrastructure projects worth Rs 4,950 crore, including cold storage and processing facilities, will be dedicated, and 12 horticulture clusters will be inaugurated to promote high-value crops. In addition, 4,030 new child-friendly Anganwadi centres will be initiated and 361 completed ones inaugurated, a Rs 800 crore investment benefiting over four lakh people.
The visit will then move to Ekta Nagar, Kevadia, where the Prime Minister will inaugurate Bharat Parv 2026. The two-day programme combines direct support to farmers with dairy, infrastructure and welfare projects, reflecting the government’s focus on agriculture-led development.
