The central government has approved Rs 340.78 crore for a 2.75 km six-lane elevated corridor at Sohna Chowk in Haryana’s Nuh district, giving a major boost to road connectivity between Gurugram, Sohna and the surrounding region.

Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari announced the approval on 31 October 2026, saying the continuous elevated corridor will bring signal-free and uninterrupted traffic movement through Sohna.

The proposed stretch will come up at the intersection of National Highway 919 and National Highway 248A, a key junction for traffic moving between Gurugram, Sohna and neighbouring areas. Its main purpose is to separate Gurugram-Nuh through traffic from local and cross traffic at the busy intersection.

The corridor will also strengthen connectivity with two major road networks — the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway — improving access for commuters and freight moving through southern Haryana.

The newly approved project is separate from the existing Sohna elevated corridor on NH-248A, which connects Rajiv Chowk in Gurugram with Sohna and was opened to traffic in July 2022. The new stretch addresses the remaining bottleneck at Sohna Chowk itself.

For daily commuters between Gurugram and Nuh, the corridor promises shorter travel times, less congestion at one of the region’s busiest junctions, and smoother links to the national expressway network as the area’s traffic keeps growing.
