Chhattisgarh Bastar Fighter Recruitment 2026: 79 Constable Posts in Jagdalpur Apply by December 12
The Office of the Superintendent of Police, Jagdalpur, in Chhattisgarh has announced 79 Bastar Fighter Constable posts in the Chhattisgarh Police Special Executive Force. The drive is governed by the recruitment rules notified by the state Home (Police) Department on 31 August 2026, and applications are accepted offline only, from 2 November 2026 until 12 December 2026 at 5 pm. Only local residents of Bastar district can apply, and every applicant must hold the prescribed local residence certificate. Candidates should read the full notice on bastar.cgpolice.gov.in or cgpolice.gov.in before applying, since the notice, not any summary, is the final authority on eligibility.
Of the 79 posts, 50 are for Scheduled Tribe candidates, 16 are unreserved, 11 are for Other Backward Classes and 2 are for Scheduled Castes. These are the advertised totals, and the horizontal reservations in the notice must not be added on top of them. Within that structure, the notice provides 10 per cent for eligible ex-servicemen, 30 per cent horizontal reservation for local women, 25 per cent for eligible Nagar Sainik or Home Guard candidates, 15 per cent for eligible Assistant Constables, and 10 per cent horizontal and category-wise reservation for eligible former Agniveers under the state government letter of 14 October 2026. The posts carry Level-4 of the pay matrix with allowances, and the notice does not print a rupee figure for the level.
For eligibility, general, OBC and SC candidates must have passed Class 10 from a school in Chhattisgarh or Madhya Pradesh. Scheduled Tribe candidates are eligible with a Class 5 pass, and so are candidates of all categories who belong to Naxal-victim families or to families living in relief camps in Naxal-affected areas, under the prescribed special provisions. The general age limit is 18 to 28 years as on 1 January 2026, with 5 years’ relaxation for SC, ST and OBC candidates and up to 10 years for eligible local women of Bastar district. Separate concessions exist for eligible government employees and retrenched government servants; candidates should check the notice for whether relaxations can be combined.
Selection runs through document verification, physical measurement, a physical efficiency test, a written examination and an interview, plus bonus marks. Minimum height is 163 cm for men and 153 cm for women generally, and 150 cm for men and 148 cm for women among Scheduled Tribe candidates. For men, the chest standard is 79 cm unexpanded and 84 cm expanded generally, and 74 cm and 79 cm for Scheduled Tribe men, with at least 5 cm expansion; the chest standard does not apply to women. Candidates must be medically fit, with acceptable eyesight and colour vision and no disqualifying condition such as knock knees or flat feet. The physical test carries 100 marks across long jump, high jump, shot put and the 100-metre and 800-metre races, qualifying at 60 per cent for unreserved and 50 per cent for SC, ST and OBC candidates. The written examination carries 50 marks in general knowledge, reasoning, analytical ability, local geography and culture and arithmetic, and the interview carries 20 marks. Up to 30 bonus marks are available: 5 for a heavy vehicle licence, 5 for an NCC C or NSS C certificate and 20 for local dialect knowledge.
Applying is entirely offline, and the deadline is a receipt deadline. Candidates must fill the prescribed form in clear handwriting, sign the declaration, affix a passport-size photograph not older than three months, and attach self-attested copies of the supporting certificates. Forms can be handed in during office hours at the Reserve Centre in Jagdalpur, the Sub-Divisional Officer (Police) offices at Keshloor, Lohandiguda and Bhanpuri, or sent by registered post to the Superintendent of Police, District Bastar, Jagdalpur, PIN 494001, reaching by 5 pm on 12 December 2026.
