UP UPSSSC JE Electrical Recruitment 2026: 380 Posts, Apply from November 6 to 27
The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission has opened a separate recruitment drive for the electrical stream, inviting online applications for 380 posts under Advertisement No. 25-Exam/2026. The vacancies cover Junior Engineer (Electrical), Electrician, Technical Assistant (Electrical) and Research Assistant roles in state government departments, public corporations and universities. Applications will be accepted on the commission’s official website, upsssc.gov.in, from 6 November to 27 November 2026, and applicants will also be able to adjust their fee and correct their forms until 4 December 2026. This notification is distinct from the Mechanical stream, which carries 1156 posts under Advertisement No. 24-Exam/2026 with a window from 3 to 25 November, so applicants must be careful to submit the form for the stream that matches their own qualification rather than assuming one application covers both.
The break-up of the 380 posts shows where most of the opportunities lie. The Public Works Department accounts for the largest share, with 231 Junior Engineer (Electrical) posts. The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation follows with 56 Electrician posts. UP Rajkiya Nirman Nigam has 44 Junior Engineer posts along with one special selection post, while the Directorate of Electrical Safety offers 14 posts plus 20 special selection posts. The UP State Construction and Infrastructure Development Corporation has four posts, and seven state universities have one post each. Because the detailed category-wise and reservation-wise distribution can differ from post to post, candidates should check the official advertisement for the exact break-up for the post they intend to apply for before submitting their form.
Eligibility is tightly linked to the commission’s preliminary examination. Only candidates who appeared in the UPSSSC PET 2025 and hold a valid scorecard for that examination can apply for these posts, and no application will be accepted without that scorecard. On the educational side, applicants generally need a three-year diploma in Electrical Engineering. The Electrician post with UPSRTC carries an additional requirement of an electrical supervisory licence. Age will be counted as on 1 July 2026, with the lower and upper limits broadly set at 18 or 21 years and 40 years depending on the post, and relaxation available under the rules of the Uttar Pradesh government for reserved categories. Most of the posts carry pay at Pay Level-6, which runs from Rs 35,400 to Rs 1,12,400 per month.
The application fee is Rs 25 for candidates of all categories, and it must be paid online by 27 November 2026. To apply, candidates should visit upsssc.gov.in, open Advertisement No. 25-Exam/2026, and log in using their PET 2025 details. They should then fill in their personal and educational details, choose the post they are eligible for, pay the fee of Rs 25, and submit the form. It is advisable to take a printout of the completed application and the fee receipt and keep them safe for future reference, since they may be needed at later stages of the selection process. Candidates should also verify the post-wise vacancy, category break-up and reservation details in the official advertisement before applying, as totals may change under the latest reservation rules. The date of the main examination has not been announced yet and will be notified separately by the commission.
