Odisha AEE Recruitment 2026: 758 Assistant Executive Engineer Posts, Apply by November 11

The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has invited online applications for 758 Assistant Executive Engineer posts in Group-A of the Odisha Engineering Service. The notification, Advertisement Number 13 of 2026-27, was issued on 9 October 2026, with the Department of Water Resources as the nodal department. Of the 758 vacancies, 750 are for Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) and 8 are for Assistant Executive Engineer (Mechanical). The posts are spread across the Water Resources Department, the Works Department and the Housing and Urban Development Department of the Government of Odisha. A large share of the Civil seats are backlog vacancies. Eligibility centres on engineering qualifications and a GATE score. Candidates must hold a degree in Civil or Mechanical engineering, or an Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers, in the relevant branch, along with a valid GATE 2024, 2025 or 2026 score in the same branch. The age limit is 21 to 42 years as on 1 January 2026, with relaxations for reserved categories, women, ex-servicemen and persons with disabilities under Odisha rules. Knowledge of Odia is also required. There is no written examination and no application fee for this recruitment. Selection is based on the GATE score, which carries 90 per cent weightage, and an interview, which carries 10 per cent weightage. Selected candidates will be appointed at Level-12 of the Odisha pay matrix. Online registration and application run from 22 October 2026 to 11 November 2026, closing at 5 PM on the last day, through the OPSC e-Chayan portal linked from opsc.gov.in.
