The Supreme Court of India has announced 130 tentative vacancies for the post of Junior Court Attendant, opening a Group C non-clerical opportunity in the court’s Registry for candidates who have passed Class 10 or Class 12. The recruitment is being conducted under advertisement number F.3/2026-SC (RC), dated 15 October 2026, and online applications will be accepted on the court’s official website, sci.gov.in, from 4 November to 25 November 2026, closing at 11:55 PM on the last day. The post carries Level 3 of the pay matrix, with a scale of Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100 per month plus applicable allowances, and an initial basic pay of Rs 21,700. The vacancy figure is tentative, and the Registry has said the number may change depending on administrative requirements. Selected candidates will be placed on a panel rather than against a fixed category-wise split, which the notification does not print, with reservation following the applicable service rules for the court. Eligibility is deliberately narrow on education. Candidates must have passed at least the Class 10 examination from a board or institute recognised by the government, and their highest qualification must not go beyond Class 12. Anyone qualified above Class 12 does not meet the condition for this post, so graduates should check the notification carefully before applying. The age limit is 18 to 27 years, counted on 1 October 2026, with relaxations for reserved categories as per the rules. The application fee is Rs 1,500 for general and unreserved candidates and Rs 750 for SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer), ex-servicemen and physically challenged candidates, payable online through the payment gateway provided by UCO Bank. Selection will take place in two stages. First comes an objective-type test of 100 questions for 100 marks, to be held over 90 minutes, covering general intelligence and reasoning, numerical aptitude, general English and general awareness, with 25 questions in each section. Candidates who qualify will then be called for an interview, in a ratio of one to three against the tentative vacancies where a large number qualify. The objective test is tentatively scheduled for 26 December 2026. To apply, candidates should visit sci.gov.in, open the recruitments page once the link goes live on 4 November, read advertisement F.3/2026-SC (RC) in full, register with personal details, fill in the form, upload the required documents and pay the fee, then submit before 11:55 PM on 25 November 2026 and keep a copy of the submitted form.
