The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have announced the exam date for the next stage of the RRB NTPC Undergraduate recruitment. Candidates who cleared the second computer-based test will now appear for the Computer Based Typing Skill Test (CBTST), which is tentatively scheduled for November 27, 2026.

The typing test is part of the recruitment drive notified under CEN 07/2025 for Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) at the undergraduate level, covering 3,058 posts across zonal railways. The CBT 2 examination was held on September 17, 2026, and its result, along with the cut-off marks, was declared on October 30, 2026. Only candidates shortlisted in that result are eligible for the typing test.

The CBTST applies to candidates shortlisted for the typist posts — Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Clerk cum Typist. For other NTPC undergraduate posts, the selection process moves to the next applicable stage, and candidates should follow the notice for their own post.

According to the notice issued on November 2, 2026, the exam city intimation slip is expected around ten days before the test, close to November 17, 2026, while the e-call letter (admit card) is expected around four days before the test, close to November 23, 2026. Candidates must download both documents from the official RRB website, rrb.indianrailways.gov.in, or their regional RRB website, and carry the admit card to the exam centre.

Candidates should note that the November 27 date is tentative. The boards have said the schedule may be revised, so applicants should keep checking the official RRB website for confirmation rather than relying on unofficial updates. The typing test is a qualifying stage for the typist posts, and candidates are advised to practise regularly and reach the centre well before reporting time with all required documents.
