Haryana Anganwadi Merit List 2026: 7,183 Posts, List Date, How to Check Your Name
Lakhs of women candidates in Haryana are waiting for the merit list for 7,183 Anganwadi Worker and Helper posts. The Women and Child Development (WCD) Department, Haryana, issued the recruitment notification in July 2026 — 2,638 Worker posts and 4,545 Helper posts. Applications were taken offline, district by district, and selection will be made purely on a merit list — there is no written exam and no interview.
Status on 7 November 2026: The merit list has not been released yet. No merit list or selection list has appeared on the department's official website wcdhry.gov.in so far. This tracker brings together the latest list status, district-wise application dates, how the merit is calculated, the documents needed for document verification (DV), and how to check your name — all in one place.

7,183 Posts — How Many Worker and Helper Posts, How Much Honorarium?
| Post | Number of posts | Qualification | Honorarium (as reported) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Anganwadi Worker | 2,638 | 12th pass | ₹14,000 per month |
| Anganwadi Helper | 4,545 | 10th pass | ₹7,500 per month |
| Total | 7,183 | — | — |
- Age limit: 18 to 42 years (as on 1 July 2026) — relaxation as per government rules.
- Application fee: No fee — ₹0 for all categories.
- How to apply: Offline — the filled form had to be sent by speed post or registered post to the CDPO office of your district.
Please note — different figures for the total posts: Some sources quote a total of 7,106 posts (Worker 2,549 + Helper 4,439 + Supervisor 118). The 7,183 figure is repeated across several sources and matches the department's notification, so this tracker uses it — treat the notification on wcdhry.gov.in as the final word.
District-Wise Applications — When, Where, How Many Posts?
The recruitment ran district by district, so application dates differed in every district. Dates are confirmed for two districts:
| District | Application dates | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Rewari | 20–29 July 2026 | Closed — 454 posts |
| Panipat | 8–30 October 2026 | Closed — 180 posts |
| Other districts | As per district-wise notifications | Check your district CDPO office / wcdhry.gov.in |
The merit list will also be prepared district-wise and at village/ward level — so you are competing with candidates in your own district, not the whole state. Cut-offs will therefore differ from district to district.
A note on the Female Supervisor recruitment: A separate advertisement for 108 Female Supervisor posts came out in August 2026, but it was only for women already working in the Haryana government (transfer/deputation basis, pay scale FPL-6, ₹35,400 per month) — not for fresh 12th-pass candidates. Its last date was 2–3 September 2026 and it is now closed. Direct recruitment of Supervisors will be done later through HSSC — this tracker will be updated with that information too.
How Is the Merit List Prepared? The Full Marks Calculation
There is no exam in Anganwadi recruitment. Merit is built from your academic marks plus a few additional marks:
1. Academic marks (the main basis)
- Worker: Merit is based on Class 12 marks.
- Helper: Merit is based on Class 10 marks.
2. Work experience — additional marks (maximum 5 marks)
| Experience | Additional marks |
|---|---|
| Less than 1 year | 1 mark |
| 1–2 years | 2 marks |
| 2–3 years | 3 marks |
| 3–4 years | 4 marks |
| 4–5 years | 5 marks |
| More than 5 years | Maximum 5 marks |
Experience means earlier work as an Anganwadi Worker, Mini Worker, Helper or Creche Worker. It must be supported by a certificate issued by the concerned WCDPO/DPO.
3. Marks for higher education
| Post | Additional qualification | Marks |
|---|---|---|
| Worker | Graduation | +3 |
| Worker | Postgraduation | +5 |
| Helper | 12th pass | +3 |
| Helper | Graduation | +5 |
4. 10 additional marks for women in special categories Widows, divorced women and deserted women get 10 additional marks — a certificate from the competent authority is required.
After the merit list, the selection committee (constituted by the WCD Department) prepares the final list, followed by document verification and a medical check.
How to Check Your Name in the Merit List
Once the list is released, follow these steps:
- Open the official website: Go to wcdhry.gov.in.
- Look in the notices/recruitment section: On the homepage, look for the Anganwadi merit list link under "Recruitment", "Notices" or "What's New".
- Choose your district: The list will come as district-wise PDFs — open your district's file.
- Search your name/roll number: Use Ctrl+F in the PDF to find your name or application number.
- Also check the CDPO office: The merit list is also displayed on the notice board of the concerned CDPO office — if the website is slow, check there directly.
Caution: Trust the merit list only from wcdhry.gov.in and your district CDPO office. Do not believe any "list" circulating on WhatsApp, YouTube or a private website, and never pay anyone for it — there is no fee for the merit list.
Documents to Keep Ready for Document Verification
Keep these documents ready as soon as your name appears in the merit list:
- Educational certificates (Class 10/12 mark sheets and certificates)
- Birth certificate or Class 10 certificate (as proof of age)
- Aadhaar card / other identity proof
- Caste certificate (if you belong to a reserved category)
- Residence certificate (issued by the SDM/DM or Tehsildar)
- Character certificate (issued by the Sarpanch or a gazetted officer)
- Experience certificate (if claiming experience marks)
- Category certificate (widow/divorced/deserted — if applicable)
- Passport-size photographs
You will have to show the original documents at DV — only attested copies were sent with the application.
What If Your Name Is Not in the Merit List?
- Check the waiting list: Many districts also release a waiting list with the main list — candidates on the waiting list are called when selected candidates stay away from DV.
- Check your district's next notice: The recruitment is district-wise — if your district's list has not come out yet, it does not mean you were not selected.
- Chance to object: In some districts, time is given to file objections on the provisional list — file yours within the date given in the notification.
- Watch for the next recruitment: Anganwadi recruitment does not run on a fixed annual calendar — notifications come when vacancies accumulate in districts. Check wcdhry.gov.in at least once a week.
