The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2026 admit cards will be available for download from November 4, 2026, on the official website iimcat.ac.in. Candidates who have registered for the examination should download the document as soon as it is released and check every detail printed on it carefully.
The CAT 2026 examination is scheduled for November 29, 2026. The admit card is a mandatory document for entry to the examination centre, and candidates will not be allowed to sit for the test without it. Along with a printed copy of the admit card, candidates must carry a valid photo identity proof to the centre.
To download the admit card, candidates should visit iimcat.ac.in and log in with their user ID and password. After logging in, the admit card link will be available on the candidate dashboard. Candidates should download the file, take a clear printout, and keep it safe until the examination day and afterwards, since it may be needed during later stages of the admission process.
Before the examination, candidates should verify the details on the admit card, including their name, photograph, examination centre and reporting time. If any detail does not match the information given during registration, the candidate should contact the examination authorities through the official website without delay.
CAT is the entrance examination conducted for admission to management programmes at the Indian Institutes of Management and other participating institutes across the country. Lakhs of aspirants appear for the test every year, and the score is widely used for admission to MBA and equivalent programmes.
Candidates are advised to reach their allotted centre well before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card. They should also read all the instructions printed on the document, including the list of items allowed inside the examination hall and the items that are not permitted. Keeping the admit card and identity proof ready the previous evening helps avoid last-minute problems on the examination day.
