The last national chance for AYUSH (BAMS/BHMS/BUMS/BSMS) admission is open — registration for the AACCC AYUSH Stray Vacancy Round 1 (SVR-I) began on 3 November 2026 and closes on 9 November 2026 at 2 PM. This round is for candidates who qualified NEET UG 2026 and have not yet secured a seat in any round. It fills All India Quota (AIQ) seats in BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS and B.Pharm-ITRA — in deemed universities, central universities and national AYUSH institutes.
Choice filling and locking run from 4 to 9 November, the seat allotment result comes out on 12 November, and allotted candidates must report to their college between 13 and 18 November. Registration and fee payment happen only online, on aaccc.gov.in — no offline applications are accepted.
Note — this is the national (AACCC) round, not Haryana’s state round. Haryana’s 85% state-quota seats are counselled by Shri Krishna AYUSH University (SKAU), Kurukshetra, and the dates for its third round/mop-up are still officially “To be Announced”. The two rounds are separate — this guide explains the difference clearly.

What Is This Round and Why It Matters
NEET UG counselling runs in several rounds — Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, then the stray rounds. After every round, some seats remain vacant — a candidate gives up a seat, does not pay the fee, or fails document verification. The Stray Vacancy Round fills these leftover seats. This SVR-I from AACCC is the first stray round after Round 3, and an SVR-II will follow — but SVR-II will have no fresh registration and no fresh choice filling; the choices filled in SVR-I will carry over to SVR-II. Registering in this round is therefore the only way into SVR-II as well.
The most important thing about this round: it covers only deemed universities (100%), central universities, national AYUSH institutes and the 15% AIQ seats of government / government-aided colleges. State-quota (85%) seats are not part of it — they are filled through state counselling. Verification of the tentative seat matrix was done on 1–2 November — before filling choices, check the vacant seat matrix on the portal and fill choices accordingly.
Who Can Participate, Who Cannot
Can participate
- Candidates who have qualified NEET UG 2026.
- Candidates who have not registered in any round so far — they must do fresh registration in this round.
- Candidates who were not allotted a seat in the earlier rounds (Round 1, 2, 3).
- Age: candidates must be 17 years old at the time of admission (by 31 December 2026) — as per the NEET bulletin and NCISM/NCH norms.
Cannot participate
- Candidates who were allotted a seat in an earlier round and have already joined — see the AACCC bulletin for exact eligibility and exit rules.
- Candidates who do not register in this round will not be able to participate in SVR-II either, because SVR-II has no fresh registration.
Seats — Which Institutes and Courses
- Courses: BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS and B.Pharm-ITRA.
- Institutes: 15% AIQ seats of government / government-aided colleges, deemed universities (100%), central universities, national AYUSH institutes (Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani, Homoeopathy).
- State-quota seats are NOT in this round — Haryana’s 85% seats are filled through SKAU, Kurukshetra counselling.
- Number of seats: how many seats are vacant will be known only from the vacant seat matrix published on the portal — check it before registering.

Fee — How Much Will It Cost
Two types of fee are payable at registration — a non-refundable registration fee and refundable security money:
| Fee type | Category | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Non-refundable registration fee (AIQ Govt./Govt. Aided/CU/NI) | UR/EWS/OBC-NCL | ₹1,000 |
| Non-refundable registration fee (AIQ Govt./Govt. Aided/CU/NI) | SC/ST/PwBD | ₹500 |
| Non-refundable registration fee (Deemed University) | All categories | ₹5,000 |
| Refundable security money (Deemed University) | All categories | ₹50,000 |
| Refundable security money (AIQ Govt./Govt. Aided/CU/NI) | All categories | ₹10,000 or ₹20,000* |
* Published sources differ on the security money for AIQ government institutes — some sources say ₹10,000, others cite the AACCC bulletin for ₹20,000. The amount shown on the portal at the time of payment is final.
- Candidates who already paid the fee in an earlier round do not have to pay again (as per published information).
- Candidates applying for both AIQ and Deemed pay only the higher (Deemed) fee.
- Security money is refunded to the same account/card used for payment after counselling is complete — even if no seat is allotted.
Documents You Will Need
These documents are usually required at the time of reporting (original + photocopy):
- NEET UG 2026 scorecard and admit card
- Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and certificates
- Identity proof (Aadhaar card)
- Category certificate — SC/ST/OBC/EWS (if applicable)
- PwBD certificate (if applicable)
- Passport-size photographs
- Allotment letter (download after the result)
Carry the original documents at the time of reporting — photocopies alone will not work.
For Haryana Candidates — How the State Round Differs
- Quota split: 85% of Haryana’s seats are state quota (SKAU, Kurukshetra) and 15% are All India Quota (AACCC).
- State round status: Round 1 (19–22 September) and Round 2 (7–10 October) are done. The dates for the third round/first mop-up and the fourth round (BAMS) are still “To be Announced” on the official schedule — a re-check on 7 November found the same status. Dates of 6–11 November are circulating on social media, but they have no official confirmation, so they are not printed here as fact.
- NCISM revised schedule: state-level stray vacancy counselling will be held from 12–27 November 2026, with a cut-off of 30 November 2026 — so the national round (till 9 November) comes first, and the state round follows.

5 Things to Remember Before Registering
- Do not wait for the last day — the registration link closes at 2 PM on 9 November; do not expect an extension.
- Do not forget to lock your choices — the locking window is 9 November, 2 PM to 11:55 PM.
- Fill choices after checking the seat matrix — the vacant-seat list is on the portal; set your preferences accordingly.
- Keep the fee receipt and registration number safe — you will need them for allotment and any complaint.
- Apply only on aaccc.gov.in — admissions taken on your own through a private agent or an institute are not recognised; the official notice clearly states such admissions are treated as void.
