Punjab and Sind Bank has released the revised provisional shortlist for its Local Bank Officer (LBO) Phase III lateral recruitment. The revised list was published on 2 November 2026 under reference number HOHRD/REC/LBO/2026-27, and it is available on the bank’s official website, punjabandsind.bank.in. The revised three-page document lists the roll numbers of 595 provisionally shortlisted candidates, organised state-wise across 17 states. Candidates must qualify the Language Proficiency Test, wherever applicable, and complete document verification before they are considered for further selection.

The bank has withdrawn the earlier provisional shortlist dated 21 October 2026 because of inadvertent discrepancies found in it. That list carried 587 roll numbers, and the revised list adds 14 roll numbers and drops 6, taking the total to 595. Candidates should therefore ignore the 21 October list completely and check only the revised PDF dated 2 November 2026 to confirm their current shortlisting status. The bank has not disclosed the specific reason for individual additions or removals, and the revised document is the only valid list for this recruitment.

The shortlist is provisional, not a final appointment list. Inclusion of a roll number in the revised document does not guarantee appointment. Shortlisted candidates will next have to appear for the Language Proficiency Test, where applicable, and complete document verification in accordance with the eligibility conditions of the original advertisement. The bank has not yet announced the dates, venue or timings for the Language Proficiency Test or document verification, and it has not given a date for the final merit list. Candidates should watch the bank’s website and their registered email addresses, including the spam folder, for the next instructions.

Uttar Pradesh accounts for the largest share of the shortlisted roll numbers, followed by Punjab and Chhattisgarh. The figures in the document are counts of roll-number entries in the revised PDF and are not state-wise vacancy counts or final appointment numbers. The PDF itself contains roll numbers only, grouped by state, with no names, category-wise cut-off scores or individual marks. Candidates whose roll numbers appear in the list should keep their educational certificates, identity proof, caste certificate and other documents ready for verification.

To check the result, candidates should visit punjabandsind.bank.in, open the Recruitment section and download the revised provisional shortlist PDF dated 2 November 2026 for the Lateral Recruitment of Local Bank Officers Phase III. Candidates should search for their roll number in the state section that applies to them. Those who were on the withdrawn 21 October list should re-check their status in the revised list, since 6 roll numbers were dropped and 14 new ones were added.
