Chhattisgarh SMKV Bastar Recruitment 2026: 69 Non-Teaching Posts Apply Online by November 4
Shaheed Mahendra Karma Vishwavidyalaya (SMKV), Bastar, at Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh has announced 69 non-teaching vacancies through three separate advertisements, numbered 3660/2026, 3662/2026 and 3666/2026, notified on 14 October 2026. Online applications opened on 16 October 2026 and close tonight, 4 November 2026, at 11:59 pm, so candidates who have not yet applied have only today left. An application correction window will run from 5 to 7 November 2026. All 69 vacancies are restricted to permanent residents of Chhattisgarh, and candidates must apply under the correct advertisement number for the post they want. The largest group is Peon, with 23 posts under advertisement 3666/2026, for Class 10 pass candidates, at Pay Matrix Level 1. The clerical group under advertisement 3662/2026 has 26 posts: Assistant Grade-3 with 21 posts, Store Keeper with 3 and Data Entry Operator with 2. The technical group under advertisement 3660/2026 has 20 posts: Laboratory Technician with 9, Accounts Assistant with 4, Technical Assistant with 2, Research Assistant with 2, Laboratory Assistant with 2 and Library Assistant with 1. Category-wise, the three advertisements together offer 31 unreserved, 23 Scheduled Tribe, 9 Other Backward Class and 6 Scheduled Caste posts, totalling 69. Horizontal reservation benefits for women, ex-servicemen and eligible persons with disabilities apply under the relevant advertisement and must not be added on top of the 69.
Qualifications differ by post, and applicants must hold the required qualification by 4 November 2026. Peon needs a Class 10 pass. Assistant Grade-3, Data Entry Operator and Store Keeper need graduation, or Class 12 with the prescribed Modern Office Management diploma, plus a one-year computer diploma and a typing certificate: 5,000 key depressions per hour in Hindi or English for Assistant Grade-3 and Store Keeper, and 8,000 key depressions per hour in Hindi and English for Data Entry Operator. Technical Assistant and Research Assistant need a relevant postgraduate degree with at least second division and two years of experience in an equivalent position. Laboratory Technician needs a relevant postgraduate degree with at least second division, Laboratory Assistant in Education needs a bachelor’s degree in education with at least second division, Accounts Assistant needs a postgraduate degree in commerce with at least second division plus a one-year computer diploma, and Library Assistant needs a bachelor’s degree in library and information science with at least second division.
Age is calculated as on 1 January 2026. The minimum age is 18 years for Peon and 21 years for the other posts, and the maximum, including applicable relaxations, is 45 years. The posts carry Pay Matrix Levels 1, 4, 6, 8 and 9 depending on the post. The application fee is Rs 500 for unreserved and OBC non-creamy layer candidates and Rs 300 for SC, ST and persons with disabilities candidates, payable online by internet banking, debit card, credit card or UPI, and it is non-refundable. Candidates should verify the fee and the post-wise conditions in the advertisement itself before paying.
Selection includes an OMR-based written examination, a skill or practical test and document verification. The written examination carries 120 marks for technical and clerical posts and 100 marks for Peon, lasts two hours, and has no negative marking. Candidates must secure at least 30 per cent in the written examination, and up to 10 candidates per vacancy may be called for the skill or practical test on written merit. The practical test carries 30 marks with 50 per cent required to qualify. The final merit is calculated out of 100 marks: the converted written score out of 60, the skill or practical score out of 30, and up to 10 marks for eligible SMKV Bastar daily-wage experience. The written examination date is yet to be announced.
