Chandigarh PGIMER Recruitment 2026 162 Senior Resident and Other Posts Apply by 13 November

The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) Chandigarh has invited online applications for 162 tenure posts of Senior Residents, Junior and Senior Demonstrators and Senior Medical Officers under Advertisement Number PGI/RC/056/2026/2690. The recruitment notification has appeared in the Employment News issue dated 31 October to 6 November 2026, and applications are open on the institute’s official website pgimer.edu.in until 13 November 2026.

Of the 162 posts, 139 are at PGIMER Chandigarh and 23 are at the PGI Satellite Centre in Sangrur. Senior Residents form the largest group, with 122 posts at Chandigarh and 21 at Sangrur, while the remaining posts cover Junior and Senior Demonstrators and Senior Medical Officers across various departments.

Candidates must hold the prescribed medical or academic qualification for the post they apply for, such as MD or MS, MDS, MSc or PhD as specified in the detailed notification. The maximum age limit is 45 years as on 13 November 2026, with applicable relaxations as per the official rules, and all appointments are tenure-based for a maximum period of three years.

Selection will be made on the basis of marks obtained in a computer-based test scheduled for 5 December 2026.
