Haryana Bilaspur-Kulana Road to Become Four-Lane: Rs 555.83 Crore Approved With Pataudi Flyover
Road connectivity in south Haryana is set for a major upgrade, with the state government approving Rs 555.83 crore to make the road from Bilaspur to Kulana four-lane. The road runs from Bilaspur in Gurugram district to Kulana in Jhajjar district, and its widening will make travel between the two districts easier while directly benefiting several towns in south Haryana. The project is not only about widening the road. Two important construction works are included in it. A flyover will be built in Pataudi town, which will ease the traffic jams within the town. At Heli Mandi, the existing two-lane railway overbridge at railway crossing number 45A will be made four-lane, so that the movement of vehicles at the crossing is not disrupted. Public Works Minister Ranbir Gangwa has said the government is continuously working to improve road facilities in the state and strengthen the road network. He said the Bilaspur–Kulana four-laning project is being taken forward in that direction, including the Pataudi flyover and the four-laning of the Heli Mandi railway overbridge. The revised estimate of the project has been fixed at Rs 555.83 crore after a review of its detailed project report. Once the road is four-lane, both heavy vehicles using the route and daily commuters will benefit. Trade, transport and connectivity for nearby villages and towns are also expected to improve, giving fresh momentum to development in the region.
