Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Gwalior, in Madhya Pradesh has opened recruitment for 28 scientific posts across its All India Coordinated Research Projects. The vacancies are for Chief Scientist, Senior Scientist and Scientist roles in various agricultural disciplines, spread across 14 post codes.

The recruitment has been advertised under Advertisement Number 40/2026-27, dated 28 October 2026. The posts carry Pay Levels 10A, 13A and 14A, with the senior-most Chief Scientist posts at the top of that scale. The upper age limit is 40 years for Scientist, 50 years for Senior Scientist and 62 years for Chief Scientist posts.

Applications are online only and opened on 29 October 2026. Candidates can apply through the university website rvskvv.net or the MPOnline Chayan portal, and the last date to submit the online application is 16 November 2026. Hard copies of applications will not be accepted, so applicants must complete the whole process online.

The research projects covered by these posts are run by the university at its various centres, with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research providing 75 percent of the funding and the Madhya Pradesh government providing the remaining 25 percent. Candidates from outside Madhya Pradesh will be considered only in the unreserved category, and the university has said it may increase or reduce the number of posts, or withdraw any of them.

Agriculture graduates and researchers looking for a scientific career in the public sector should read the full official advertisement for the discipline-wise eligibility, qualifications and experience required for each post code before applying, and submit their forms well before the 16 November deadline to avoid last-minute portal rush.
