Haryana HSSC Recruitment 2026: Around 8000 New Posts Expected Plus CET Stage-II Exam for 14000 Posts
The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) is preparing to advertise around 8,000 new government posts across various state departments, and is simultaneously stepping up preparations for the Common Eligibility Test (CET) Stage-II examination for about 14,000 posts already advertised. HSSC chairman Himmat Singh announced the plan on 28 October.
The proposed 8,000 vacancies will cover Group C and Group D posts, the two large categories through which the commission recruits staff for Haryana government departments. The detailed notification — including post-wise vacancies, eligibility criteria and application dates — has not yet been released, and candidates should wait for the formal advertisement rather than acting on rumours.
For the CET Stage-II examination, the commission has begun inspecting examination centres. On 28 October, a team led by commission member Subhash Chandra inspected centres in the Kalka-Pinjore area of Panchkula district, reviewing facilities and arrangements for candidates. The commission has not yet specified an examination date for CET Stage-II, nor a date for issuing the fresh 8,000-post advertisement.
Applicants for Group C and Group D posts will need a valid Haryana CET scorecard to be considered, as the CET score is the gateway for these categories. Candidates are advised to keep their documents ready and to monitor the commission’s official website, hssc.gov.in, for the notification and the application schedule when it is published.
The twin track — a new round of about 8,000 posts alongside the CET Stage-II process for about 14,000 posts already in the pipeline — points to a busy recruitment season ahead for Haryana’s job aspirants. Together, the two exercises cover a very large number of government openings in the state.
Aspirants should be cautious about unofficial lists of posts or dates circulating online. Until HSSC publishes its official advertisement, the post-wise break-up, eligibility rules, age limits and fee details for the new 8,000 posts remain unconfirmed, and only the commission’s own notice on hssc.gov.in should be treated as final.
