BBMB Apprentice Recruitment 2026 for Haryana and Punjab: 65 Posts Apply by November 30 and December 3
The Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) has announced 65 apprentice vacancies for the training session 2026-27 under the Apprentices Act 1961, covering ITI, diploma and graduate apprentices at two centres — Nangal and Dhulkote. Of the total, 58 vacancies are at the Canal Power House Circle at Nangal, while seven Lineman apprentice posts are at the Construction Division at Dhulkote in Ambala district of Haryana. The apprenticeship training period will be one year, and there is no application fee and no written examination for these posts.
For the Nangal centre, applications opened on 1 November 2026 and will close on 30 November 2026, under Advertisement Number 01/2026. The 58 Nangal vacancies span 14 roles, including engineering graduates and diploma holders in Mechanical, Electrical and Civil streams, graduates in BA, B.Com and B.Sc, and ITI apprentices in trades such as Fitter, Electrician, Lineman, Carpenter, Welder, Plumber, Painter, Computer Operator and Programming Assistant, and Mechanic Motor Vehicle. ITI candidates must apply through the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) portal, while graduate and diploma applicants for Nangal must use the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal.
The Dhulkote centre offers seven Lineman apprentice seats for the same 2026-27 session. Applications for Dhulkote open on 5 November 2026 and close on 3 December 2026, and are accepted online only through the NAPS portal. Candidates for these seats should have passed Class 10 and hold a National Trade Certificate in the Lineman trade. The Construction Division at Dhulkote, Ambala, will decide the place of training based on administrative needs, and the engagement is for one year of apprenticeship training, not a permanent appointment.
BBMB is a statutory body under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, responsible for the regulation and development of the Bhakra Nangal and Beas projects, among the country’s major multipurpose river projects. Apprenticeship training under the Board gives young candidates hands-on experience in power houses and construction divisions, and the stipend and training conditions follow the provisions of the Apprentices Act. Candidates are advised to read the full notification for their trade carefully, since eligibility, trade-wise vacancies and portal requirements differ between the graduate, diploma and ITI categories.
To apply, candidates should visit the official BBMB website, bbmb.gov.in, select the relevant advertisement, and complete the application on the correct portal — NAPS for ITI trades and NATS for graduate and diploma posts at Nangal, and NAPS for the Dhulkote Lineman seats. Applicants should keep their educational certificates, trade certificates and identity documents ready before filling the form, check every entry before submission, and save a copy of the submitted application for future reference. With the Nangal window closing on 30 November and the Dhulkote window on 3 December, interested candidates should not wait until the last day, when portal traffic is usually at its highest.
