The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission held the written examination for Assistant District Public Prosecution Officer posts on November 1 2026, in a single session from 12 noon to 3 pm. The examination, advertised under Advertisement Number 03/2026, will fill 107 posts in the prosecution service of Madhya Pradesh, and more than 30000 candidates had applied for the test.

The recruitment began on a much smaller scale. The commission had originally advertised only 17 posts in March 2026, but after aspirants demanded more posts it issued a corrigendum on July 6 raising the total to 107 and reopened the application window from July 10 to 24. Of the 107 posts, 29 are unreserved, 29 are for Other Backward Classes, 21 for Scheduled Tribes, 17 for Scheduled Castes and 11 for Economically Weaker Sections.

The written paper carries 450 marks across 150 questions, with 50 questions on general studies and 100 questions on law, and candidates get three hours to complete it. Those who clear the written test will move to the next stage, an interview, before final selection. Admit cards for the examination were released on October 21 through the commission’s official website, mppsc.mp.gov.in, and candidates were advised to follow the reporting time printed on their admit cards.

The examination had originally been scheduled for October 18, but the commission postponed it to November 1 after a shortage of examination centres, arranging additional centres across 10 to 12 districts to accommodate the large number of applicants. Special arrangements were put in place for transparency, including three-level checks at centres and observers appointed to monitor the process. With the application window now closed, candidates should watch the MPPSC portal for the result and interview schedule.
